When Is Insurance Important?
Sometimes people are unsure if they should have insurance for dental coverage. It comes down to how healthy your mouth is. If you are prone to having lots of work needing to be done, like fillings, crowns and root canals then by all means have some dental coverage. it will save you in the pocket book. If you have a healthy mouth without needing the work then it benefits you and your pocket book to pay the cleanings out of pocket, shop around see if you can get discounts. Some dental offices give 10% if you pay with cash or check, like our office does. I also tell our patients when they ask if it is worth getting Insurance, if all you are doing is using it for cleanings and not the difficult cleanings then save that money that you would be spending month to month for that insurance coverage and pay out of pocket.
